PSTS Let’s Play Eternal Darkness: Episode 05 – Ebony and Ivory

Is Eternal Darkness a survival horror or an adventure horror game? J.D.’s strong opinions about the arbitrariness of some of the puzzles leans toward an adventure game, but this episode shows some of the survival side, with zombies, necromorphs, and even boss fights, as we jump from Alex to Karim (Abdul-Jabbar).

Great game. I played about halfway through it before getting sidetracked by college-related demands. The various locations made the game stand out in my mind, particularly the period during the Spanish Inquisition.

Yeah it’s a really interesting game so far, I’ve never really played anything like it before. The sanity effects are a really cool mechanic. I’m excited to see what other crazy things we’ll run into! Thanks for commenting on our website by the way. We don’t get too many comments on here.

Hey, no problem. And I’m with you on the sanity effects–I wish 3DS developers would take note and try incorporating something similar with 3D effects.
